Her three-dimensional investigations and installation works deal with physical and conceptual absence as a field of possibility. She studied art history in Celaya, Mexico, visual arts in Sabanci University (BA, MA), Istanbul and School of the Art Institute Chicago (BFA). She completed her Doctorate in Dokuz Eylul University with the thesis: \u201cAbsence as Potential in Contemporary Art\u201d.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Her solo exhibition <i>Leaking from Sleep<\/i> took place in Gallery A, Izmir, TR (2023). She has shown Geri D\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u2019\u00fcm (Re-cycle \/ my Re-Turn), spatial intervention, an ex-gallery and a new recycle center, Istanbul (2023) and <i>The Belly of the Whale<\/i>, a spatial intervention on Bosphorus, Istanbul (2022) and <i>I am not West, I am not East,<\/i> performance, Kotti-Shop Project Space, Berlin (2022). Her works were shown in group exhibitions including, <i>Water-Bound<\/i>, Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg, Berlin (2024), <i>Words on Water<\/i>, Hinterland, Vienna (2023), Yap\u0131 Kredi Culture and Arts, Istanbul (2022),\u00a0Bar\u0131n Han, Istanbul (2022), Art On Gallery, Istanbul (2020), Hahmekan, Istanbul (2017), The Clemente, Abrazo Interno Gallery, NY (2015), among others.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>She attended Daire Artist Residency, co-funded by EU and TR (2019) and Cura Bodrum Residency (2010). She co-organized \u201cThe Absent Monument of Kreuzberg, a Multidisciplinary Workshop\u201d, which received Kreuzberg District Artistic Grant, hosted by Museum FHXB, Berlin (2022). She was a visiting scholar\/artist in Augsburg University, Faculty of Design, DE (2023), Free University Berlin, Institute of Philology (2023), Evora University, Visual Arts, PT (2022) and DePaul University Chicago, Latin American Studies (2014). She presented papers in conferences and published articles. Currently, she works as an assistant professor at Istanbul Topkap\u0131 University and teaches visual arts.
